Weekly Gaming Update V: Now with more Hive!

Got in another good round of board games this week: On Friday night I played a 750 point game of Warhammer 40K - in which my Daemonhunters got wiped off the table (but not as bad as I thought they would). Saturday I played about three more games of Hive, which I still can't recommend enough, and two games of Coloretto.

I brought in a few new games this week also - namely Galaxy Trucker, which will get played next weekend, and The Mosquito, which is a tile expansion for Hive (which in case you can't tell, is one of my current favorite games).

I'm hoping to top it all off with a game of Red Dragon Inn tonight. =)

Weekly Gaming Update I: Some News...

Not the most incredible gaming day - but I got in a 1000pt game of Warhammer 40K today with my friend Al. My Space Marines managed to table his Daemons in the sixth turn, thanks largely in part to a certain deep strike mishap that sent his Plaguebearers straight back to the chaos gods.

Also, some news: My FLGS - Gamers Haven - is moving down the street. We're going to lose some gaming tables, but will be able to maintain current inventory and such while cutting tons of overhead. The economic problems are digging their way all the way into our hobbies. =/
